How did he propose? Let's just say I think Matt did an amazing job of planning out this proposal, and now I have a good story to tell..:)
We were at Vegas this past weekend for Andrea (Matt's cousin) and Raymond's wedding. The wedding was on Saturday, so we pretty much had the entire Sunday to try our luck in different casinos on the strip. That night, Matt asked me to go up to the top of the Eiffle Tower at Paris. He kept on raving how beautiful the view is going to be from 500ft above the strip. I was skeptical, wondering if it's even possible to get to the top, since I have not seen any advertisement that says so. Also, being a cheap Asian, I was thinking, haven't we already saw the view when we flew in to Vegas?
So anwyay, somehow, he managed to persuade me to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower, and yup, he's right, the view is simply breathtaking. Not only was the view amazing, he also managed to plan it such that we were there about 10 minutes before the Bellagio water show begun, so we got "first class seat/standing spot" for enjoying the water show. After that, we walked to the other side of tower, and we caught the grand finale of the volcano eruption at the Mirage. At this point, just say I was feeling pretty happy and was glad that he convinced me to come up here. Suddenly, he was on his knees and pulled out a ring, and asked me to marry him? err... huh?? what??? I was in such shock that I actually didn't answer. I can't really recall what was going on in my head at that instant, but just that I was really surprise and of course elated! After around 15 seconds of silence (according to Matt), he said, "Please say yes..." "Yes," I responded. So, at around 7:30ish pm on 11/21, we became a happily engaged couple.:)
